I am an Irish artist (b. 1989, Dublin) based in London.
Painting is like a language of the soul for me, a way of tuning into the invisible, carrying me into the deeper mystery and waters of life. It is a form of remembrance and home coming, similar to music and water it holds emotion and memory through its vibrations. I allow the work to guide me, finding ease and trust through the inner ear and eye, seeing my art as a living thing beyond myself.
Over this past year archetypes and symbolism have become the heartbeat of my life and work. They were always there but lay sleeping until I began studying tarot with Arizona Smith. Working with the wisdom and tenderness of Arizona’s teachings was like reawakening the golden thread in my tapestry. It began during my time in India and returning to Ireland in between revealed the shifts - the three most powerful and potent have been the swan, fox and heart.
Dreams are another life force in my practice - I record them through drawing and words and often they will be a foundation to my work.
I work across different mediums - painting, printmaking, embroidery and tattoing.
